Rules should be transparent — so should signals

Limitup is a rules-based scanner for the US stock market built for halal investing. The goal is simple: every signal should be able to explain why it fired.

Why this exists

Muslim investors in the US stock market face two problems at once: which stock is even halal, and when entry/exit actually makes sense. Many products sell this as a "signal" while staying a black box. We built the opposite — both the screening rule and the strategy logic are open.

Three principles

No black box

Every signal is the output of an explicit rule (indicator + condition), not "the AI decided so". Each strategy's logic is documented on the homepage.

We don't hide the limits

That a signal isn't a guarantee, that paper trading is a simulation, and that past results say nothing about the future — all stated plainly on the homepage. It doesn't lower trust; it earns it.

Halal screening is the universe itself

It isn't a toggle-on filter: every stock the scanner watches has passed our own screener against AAOIFI Standard No. 21. Full methodology: /methodology.

Current status — stated plainly

The project is under active development. Signal strategies, paper trading, watchlists, alerts and the journal all work today. Paid plans (Pro/Premium) are currently shown for reference only — billing isn't wired up yet, so everything is free. Live (real-money) trading doesn't exist yet.
