How the halal filter works
Every company is screened automatically against AAOIFI Shari'a Standard No. 21, and signals are only issued for stocks that pass. The screen relies on public data sources — review the methodology yourself before any important decision.
Three ratios
Debt to market cap under 30%, liquid assets under 30%, non-compliant income under 5%.
Two sources compared
Fundamentals come from Yahoo's latest quarterly report and are audited against SEC EDGAR filings. Ratios are measured against a 36-month average market cap.
Doubt means no
If data is missing or the filing is older than 15 months, the stock is not treated as halal. It fails closed.
