Halal stocks with high return on equity (ROE)
HALAL stocks only. Filters: market cap of at least $5B, price of at least $5, average daily volume of at least 200K shares, positive net profit margin, ROE between 20% and 100%, and debt-to-equity (D/E) between 0 and 1. ROE above 100% usually means equity is tiny (heavy buybacks) — that is not efficiency, so it is excluded; the D/E filter removes ROE inflated by debt. Sorted by ROE, highest first.

How to use this list
ROE depends on one year's profit — a one-off gain lifts it temporarily. A consistently high ROE over several years is worth far more than one strong year.
This is not a conclusion — it is a starting point for research. Each stock's page shows its halal ratios and reasons; study the business, its reports and its price chart separately.
Halal status is re-checked daily and can change. Before buying, check the latest screening date on the stock's page. Screening methodology

Frequently asked questions
- What is ROE?
- Net profit divided by shareholders' equity — how much profit the company makes each year on every $100 its owners have in it.
- Why limit debt?
- Debt shrinks equity and boosts ROE, but also raises risk. The D/E ≤ 1 filter helps make sure a high ROE comes from the business, not from leverage.
- Which stocks lead the list right now?
- As of 2026-10-15: Manhattan Associates, Inc. (MANH), SK hynix Inc. (SKHY), Sandisk Corporation (SNDK), Micron Technology, Inc. (MU), KLA Corporation (KLAC). In total 160 stocks meet the criteria.
- Is this list investment advice?
- No. It is the output of an automatic filter on public data; the criteria are written on the page. No stock is recommended for purchase and this is not a fatwa.
- How often is the list updated?
- The page is rebuilt every 30 minutes. Prices update every 5 minutes, technicals (RSI, 52-week high, 1-year performance) after each trading day closes, and fundamentals (P/E, dividend, ROE) every few days.
- Where does the halal rating come from?
- From our own AAOIFI-style screener: prohibited business activity, interest-bearing debt, cash and interest-income ratios are checked. The methodology page lists the thresholds and sources.
