Cheap halal stocks — low P/E
HALAL stocks only. Filters: market cap of at least $2B, price of at least $5, average daily volume of at least 200K shares, positive net profit margin, trailing P/E between 5 and 15, and a positive forward P/E (analysts expect a profit next year). A P/E below 5 usually reflects a one-off gain (an asset sale, a tax benefit), so it is excluded. Sorted by P/E, lowest first.

How to use this list
A low P/E reflects market expectations, not a bargain: companies with falling earnings, at a cyclical peak or in trouble also trade at low multiples. If the forward P/E is much higher than today's, earnings are expected to shrink.
This is not a conclusion — it is a starting point for research. Each stock's page shows its halal ratios and reasons; study the business, its reports and its price chart separately.
Halal status is re-checked daily and can change. Before buying, check the latest screening date on the stock's page. Screening methodology

Frequently asked questions
- What is P/E?
- Price divided by annual earnings per share. A P/E of 10 means that, if today's profit stayed flat, the company would "earn back" its price in 10 years.
- Why are some well-known cheap stocks missing?
- They either fail halal screening (banks, for example), have a P/E below 5, have no expected profit next year, or don't meet the liquidity / market-cap floor.
- Which stocks lead the list right now?
- As of 2026-10-15: Century Aluminum Company (CENX), Harmony Gold Mining Company Lim (HMY), Valaris Limited (VAL), Petroleo Brasileiro S.A. Petrob (PBR), Gulfport Energy Corporation (GPOR). In total 87 stocks meet the criteria.
- Is this list investment advice?
- No. It is the output of an automatic filter on public data; the criteria are written on the page. No stock is recommended for purchase and this is not a fatwa.
- How often is the list updated?
- The page is rebuilt every 30 minutes. Prices update every 5 minutes, technicals (RSI, 52-week high, 1-year performance) after each trading day closes, and fundamentals (P/E, dividend, ROE) every few days.
- Where does the halal rating come from?
- From our own AAOIFI-style screener: prohibited business activity, interest-bearing debt, cash and interest-income ratios are checked. The methodology page lists the thresholds and sources.
